Gilli Sparkle!!!
Hi! I used Lady Gilli for my sparkle challenge card today. I paper pieced her with some sparkle DCWV paper. I also added i-rock gems and some stickles for a little more sparkle. I used my Grand Calibur to cut out my Spellbinders dies and added some stitching to top it all off. Hope you link up your sparkle card and play along with us! : )

Black and Chartreuse
Hello Gilli fans!
I would like to introduce you to the next Revlon Cover Girl, Lady Gilli! Her lashes are not “false” either. LOL!
Before I get started I want to thank Karen for taking up the slack for me on the last challenge. I had some family issues that came up and could not take care of that challenge. Karen jumped right in. Thank you, Karen, from the bottom of my heart!
Now onto my project. Black is one of my favorite neutrals to work with, so I had to choose a color that would make Lady Gilli pop. That color is chartreuse. This is not one of my favorite colors to wear (I turn chartreuse). I love this color when using my Copic markers. I also love Gilli and her many personalities. You purchase these little ladies at StampingScrapping.com.
The black cardstock is from SU and the designer paper is from Echo Park “For the Record.” The swirlies are from Magnolia Doohickey dies and I used Pearl Glimmer Mist to put some glimmer on them. Kevin and Suzanne at StampingScrapping.com are not going to carry the Doohickey dies any longer, but they do have a few still in stock. Catch them while you can. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash. The green roses from Wild Orchid.
I am so glad you stopped by and I hope you join us.

Easy Gift Bag Tutorial
Hi! Karen here with a quick and easy tutorial on how to personalize a gift bag for that special someone. It is a simple way to add a special touch to a gift without adding extra cost.
I start by using scraps of paper from other projects, a brown paper gift bag, and a colored Gilli image.
I then take the darker paper that I want for the matting and cut various sizes until it fills the side of the bag and adhere them to it.
Next, I cut different patterned papers 1/4" smaller than the matting size and attach them to the matting with adhesive.
I then attached the Gilli image and I stamp floral designs with stamps from Stamping Scrapping. I also use some various rub-ons to finish it off. This is a cute and fun way to use up odds and ends....and it's pretty and personalized too!!

The Bonny Lass with the Green Hair
My turn for our second House of Gilli challenge. Our Hostess with the Mostess, anaRy, (and it being March) challenged us to use green. The Gilli I selected for my project is Burlesque Gilli, and I definitely used green! LOL This was another fun one! Do some of you remember the movie The Boy with the Green Hair? This is where I got the idea for the green hair.
The cardstock I used is from Stampin’ Up! in Basic Black. The designer paper I purchased from Michaels and it’s the Amy Butler series from K&Company. I also used the Spellbinder’s die in the Large Deckled Rectangles. The deckled edges were enhanced with Smooch Ink in Kiwi and Illuminate.
As everyone knows by now I purchase most of my supplies from StampingScrapping.com. These partners have some of the best variety and prices and definitely the best customer service. Go check them out!
My flowers I used are from the Little Flower Pack. These are so fun! You color them to match your project. I used two sizes and colored them with Copics in YG21 and W02, and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl. The skeleton leaves are from the “Color Me Series” also. I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist Sweet Clover. The other embellishment is the green Magnolia Shabby Chic Chandelier Garland.
Other challenges for Burlesque Gilli:
Splitcoast Stampers sketch SC314 (sketch to the right)
Craft Your Passion Challenges – Getting Girlie
Papertake Weekly – Anything goes with something old (rhinestones from my stash)
Copic Musketeers - Spring

(your entries must follow this recipe to be qualified)
The Gilli that I used is Asian Gilli. Gilli has multiple personalities. I am sure you can find your favorite. The whole line of Gilli stamps (designed by anaRy Atelie ) are available at StampingScrapping. StampingScrapping is where I purchase the majority of my art supplies. And they keep adding more. Go check them out. Beware...they are enablers! LOL
Now, if you want to see the supplies that I used and the challenges that I entered, come over and visit me at AJ’s Designs.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Now it’s your turn to create with a Gilli and enter the first challenge at the House of Gilli. To enter, use the link available on Suzanne Dean’s blog post at the top.
