Gilli Sparkle!!!

Hi!  I used Lady Gilli for my sparkle challenge card today.  I paper pieced her with some sparkle DCWV paper.  I also added i-rock gems and some stickles for a little more sparkle.  I used my Grand Calibur to cut out my Spellbinders dies and added some stitching to top it all off.  Hope you link up your sparkle card and play along with us!  : )

Ribbons and Bows!!!

Hi!  I chose Florist Gilli for my ribbon and bows challenge today.  I paper pieced her top and colored her with prismacolor pencils.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch and my cricut to cut out the banner and the tag.  I used other stamps from my stash and paper from Basic Grey and Wild Rose Studios.  I hope you link up your Gilli with ribbon and bows and play along with us!!

Easy Gift Bag Tutorial

Hi!  Karen here with a quick and easy tutorial on how to personalize a gift bag for that special someone.  It is a simple way to add a special touch to a gift without adding extra cost.

I start by using scraps of paper from other projects, a brown paper gift bag, and a colored Gilli image.

I then take the darker paper that I want for the matting and cut various sizes until it fills the side of the bag and adhere them to it.

Next, I cut different patterned papers 1/4" smaller than the matting size and attach them to the matting with adhesive.

I then attached the Gilli image and  I stamp floral designs with stamps from Stamping Scrapping.  I also use some various  rub-ons to finish it off.  This is a cute and fun way to use up odds and ends....and it's pretty and personalized too!!

Layers and Stitching Challenge!

I chose Florist Gilli and the Gilli Life is Good stamps for my card today.  I colored Gilli with prismacolor pencils and used Spellbinders and Doohickey dies for the mattings and swirls.  The butterflies were cut with the Indie Arts cartridge. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the trim and I topped off the many layers with stitching on my sewing machine.  Hope you add you card to the link and play along!!  : )

Stripes and Bling!!!

Hi!  I decided to do Bloomers Gilli for my stripes and bling card because her top was striped and it gave me a starting point.  I used my Scor-Pal to start my card base and colored Gilli with prismacolor pencils.  I then used  my Grand Calibur to cut the Spellbinders labels dies and the bows are from Stamping Scrapping Designs.  The palm trees were cut from the Oceans of Words cricut cartridge and the border punch used was by Fiskars.  I put stickles on Gilli's outfit and on the palm trees for the bling and finished it off with some stitching on the sewing machine.  I hope you all add your cards and play along!!  : )

Gilli Ribbon and Pearls

Hi everyone!  Today I decided to use two Gilli stamps by Anary and mask them into one.  I used the Classy Gilli stamp and  masked it so I could use the head from Bloomer Gilli.  I love how feminine the up swept hair-do is on the Bloomer Gilli and I thought it would look so great with the suit on classy Gilli, especially with Easter and Mothers Day coming up.  I colored the images with prismacolor pencils and cut it out using the Grand Calibur with Spellbinders dies.  I used a Magnolia Doohickey die for the lace and the cricut Mini Monograms and Indie Arts cartridges for the scalloped circle and butterfly.  Added my ribbon, stick on pearls, and some stitching and she is ready to go.  Hope you are having a great day!  : )

Hola! from Senorita Gilli

Happy Wednesday everyone! Aletha here, and it’s my turn to share my project with you all for our Ribbons and Pearls challenge at the House of Gilli. Come join us. You have until April 10 at 10:00 p.m. to enter.

I have chosen Senorita Gilli for my little piece of art. She was perfect to color with my Copics. And then I had a lot of fun adding all the layers. I have used the Elegant Flourishes Sizzix die for extra flourish around the flowers and in the upper right hand corner. The other dies that I have used are Spellbinder’s in Scalloped Circles, Parisian Motifs, and Fleur De Lis Rectangles. And all of these (including Gilli) can be purchased from StampingScrapping. The most wonderful online merchant you will ever meet!

And, after you have entered your creation above, and if you used a Gilli, don’t forget to join and post to our groups on Yahoo (House of Gilli) and our photo gallery on Flicker (Gilli Gallery).
I hope you join us in this wonderful challenge! Thanks for stopping by!
Aletha

I used a Martha Stewart border punch and Magnolia Doohickey dies cut with the Grand Calibur.  Topped it all off with some stitching and some ribbon.  Hope you have chance to add your card to the challenge!
