Lots of Buttons!!

Hi!  Bloomers Gilli is all ready to hit the beach!  Time for a little fun in the sun! I used my Grand Calibur to cut out all the dies, so it went together rather quickly.   I used the frou-frou tag die, the pendents eyelet dies, and the scalloped rectangles Spellbinders dies.  I added some stitching, some buttons anda little bit of stickles and  it was ready to go!!   Hope you link up your button project for a chance to win a Gilli prize!  : )

Renaissance Gilli and Flowers

Happy Friday, everyone!

Aletha, here. It’s my turn for the House of Gilli's Challenge #8. For this challenge you are to “use flowers.” Well…I think you can say that I did use flowers. LOL!

I received my Renaissance Gill from StampingScrapping.com a few weeks ago. Isn’t she stunning? I love the way the creator of Gilli, anaRy, has drawn her. Her gown looks like it floats.

The DP that I used is from DCWV: Mariposa stack, and Recollections: Glorious Gardens. I lucked out on finding this paper. I usually find a paper I like and color my image accordingly, but this time around I did the opposite. My CS is SU Really Rust and of course, Cryogen 80# Iridescent for the Copic marker coloring.

When you get a minute, hop on over to my blog and check out the challenges that I entered Gilli in.

I hope you join us for Challenge #8. A great big THANK YOU! to the ones that have.

Thanks for looking and I hope to see your creation soon!

Flowers Challenge!!!!

Hi! Karen here with the new challenge.....this time it is flowers!!!  Doesn't matter what kind of flowers you use, or if it is just flowered designer paper....as long as something on your project has flowers! I chose Tee Gilli that I colored with prismacolor pencils.  I made my flowers using the George cartridge and my cricut.  I added some stickles to the flowers, background and Gilli to give it some bling!  Hope you join us and link your flower card for a chance to win a prize!  : )

Challenge No. 5 at the House of Gilli

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. I did and it was very creative.

I, Aletha (some people call me AJ), am the hostess for the House of Gill’s FIFTH challenge. I challenge you to use STRIPES AND BLING. This should be an easy one.

Here at the House of Gilli, we thrilled to have such a great response to our new blog. I just wanted to say how much we appreciate all of the entries. This has been and will continue being so much fun!

I have had my Basic Grey designer paper picked out for over a month. When it caught my eye I knew it was for Boho Gilli from StampingScrapping. It screamed “Flower Power” or maybe “Girl Power.” Anyway, I thought, “You go girl!” I love bright colors!
I have also entered Boho Gilli in these challenges:
Craft Your Days Away – Spots and Stripes
Card Makin’ Mamas – Embellish It
Papertake Weekly – Anything Goes, but with something new (Boho Gilli rubber stamp)
By the Cute and Girly – Anything cute and girly

If you like, check out my blog, AJ’s Designs, for all the other details.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join us!

And, if you use a Gilli in your little piece of art, be sure and post it at the House of Gilli Yahoo group and the Gilli Gallery on Flickr.

Have a great week!
Aletha

The Bonny Lass with the Green Hair

My turn for our second House of Gilli challenge. Our Hostess with the Mostess, anaRy, (and it being March) challenged us to use green. The Gilli I selected for my project is Burlesque Gilli, and I definitely used green! LOL  This was another fun one! Do some of you remember the movie The Boy with the Green Hair? This is where I got the idea for the green hair.

The cardstock I used is from Stampin’ Up! in Basic Black.  The designer paper I purchased from Michaels and it’s the Amy Butler series from K&Company. I also used the Spellbinder’s die in the Large Deckled Rectangles. The deckled edges were enhanced with Smooch Ink in Kiwi and Illuminate.

As everyone knows by now I purchase most of my supplies from StampingScrapping.com. These partners have some of the best variety and prices and definitely the best customer service. Go check them out!

My flowers I used are from the Little Flower Pack. These are so fun! You color them to match your project.  I used two sizes and colored them with Copics in YG21 and W02, and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl. The skeleton leaves are from the “Color Me Series” also. I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist Sweet Clover.  The other embellishment is the green Magnolia Shabby Chic Chandelier Garland.

Other challenges for Burlesque Gilli:
Splitcoast Stampers sketch SC314 (sketch to the right)
Craft Your Passion Challenges – Getting Girlie
Papertake Weekly – Anything goes with something old (rhinestones from my stash)
Copic Musketeers - Spring
Thanks for stopping by! I so hope you join us in this challenge. And if you use a Gilli in your project, don’t forget to join and post your little piece of art at House of Gilli at Yahoo and the Gilli Gallery on Flickr.

Recipe Challenge No. 1 with the House of Gilli

Hello everyone and I hope you are having a great weekend.

It’s my turn to show you my creation for our very first challenge at the House of Gilli.

This challenge is to
-Use some form of Sparkle
-Use 3 Patterned Papers
-Use at least 2 dies and/or punches
-You do not have to use a Gilli for this project
BUT IF you use a Gilli you get 2 chances okay ;)
(your entries must follow this recipe to be qualified)
The Gilli that I used is Asian Gilli.  Gilli has multiple personalities. I am sure you can find your favorite. The whole line of Gilli stamps (designed by anaRy Atelie ) are available at StampingScrapping.  StampingScrapping is where I purchase the majority of my art supplies. And they keep adding more.  Go check them out. Beware...they are enablers! LOL
Now, if you want to see the supplies that I used and the challenges that I entered, come over and visit me at AJ’s Designs

Thanks so much for stopping by. Now it’s your turn to create with a Gilli and enter the first challenge at the House of Gilli. To enter, use the link available on Suzanne Dean’s blog post at the top.

Have fun!

Love with Gilli

Hello Gilli Gals!

Isn’t this exciting? A new challenge blog and a new stamp line? Gilli is so adorable don’t cha think?

Today it is my turn, Stephanie, to show you my creation for this recipe challenge. I chose to use Sitting Bride Gilli for my project. She is adorable as a bride and anything else I want her to be.

She is a beauty isn’t she? I dolled her all up in red. I added some fibers from my stash for her boa and a red piece of netting for an accent to her hair. I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 4. I punched out some hearts using a heart punch and also used my MS Heart Border punch. I added a paper rose, some ribbon and a glittery die cut flourish. I also added some Ranger Stickles to the pleat of the dress.

For my sentiment I used SSD a Anglaise Lace Circle die and stamped it using the matching SSD Anglaise Lace Stamps. The word Love is from Gilli and is Love 2. I stamped this with Tim Holtz Distress Barn Door and then went over the word with Ranger Stickles.

I have a few more pics on my blog if you would like to take a hop!

What can you do with Gilli and this recipe? We would love to come and visit you so come on and enter our challenge! The prize offering is great, be sure to check out the first post right under Inlinkz and also be sure to check out the other projects that our DT have posted!

Good luck and hope to hop in and see ya soon!
