Lots of Layers and Faux or Real Stitching

Hi Everyone, it’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns.  I am so honored to be hosting this new challenge here on the House of Gilli!  I wanted to try something new for me so I picked Lots of Layers and Faux or Real Stitching.  I hope you have as much fun with this Challenge as I have had.

I wanted to try something new, so I made a cute little needlepoint box (for my stitching) and added layers with the cute blue and yellow needlepoint flowers and a little Gilli Charm.  I love the dimension that the different stiches on the box add also.

Gilli Box

I seem to be addicted to Shrinky Dinks lately – they are so much fun!  I love to watch them shrink up and become so small.  I colored Tee Gilli with my Copic markers on Shrinky Dink Plastic. Then used my Grand Calibur and Labels 14 dies to cut her out.  About a minute in my toaster oven and I have this cute little Gilli Charm.  A few beads and I have a little embellishment to add another layer to my box.

Gilli Close

I can’t wait to see what you come up with for our challenge.  Be sure to enter your project above.  Remember if you use a Gilli in your project, be sure and post it at the House of Gilli Yahoo group and the Gilli Gallery on Flickr.

Hugs, Wini
