Ribbons and Bows with Tee Gilli

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns with your Ribbons and Bows inspiration post for today!  Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page to enter your project in this  challenge to win a great Gilli prize!!

TeeGilli

I just love how fun and flirty Tee Gilli in her hip jeans is!  I decided to use a flower ribbon bow with a pearl center to brink out the blues in her jeans.  The orange accents bring out her pretty red hair (inspired by my youngest daughter).  All the papers (including the dictionary page) are odds and ends from my stash – I love it when I can create a fun layout with my scraps!

Thanks for joining us today at the House of Gilli and I can’t wait to see what you create for our Ribbons and Bows challenge!

Flowers Challenge!!!!

Hi! Karen here with the new challenge.....this time it is flowers!!!  Doesn't matter what kind of flowers you use, or if it is just flowered designer paper....as long as something on your project has flowers! I chose Tee Gilli that I colored with prismacolor pencils.  I made my flowers using the George cartridge and my cricut.  I added some stickles to the flowers, background and Gilli to give it some bling!  Hope you join us and link your flower card for a chance to win a prize!  : )

Lots of Layers and Faux or Real Stitching

Hi Everyone, it’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns.  I am so honored to be hosting this new challenge here on the House of Gilli!  I wanted to try something new for me so I picked Lots of Layers and Faux or Real Stitching.  I hope you have as much fun with this Challenge as I have had.

I wanted to try something new, so I made a cute little needlepoint box (for my stitching) and added layers with the cute blue and yellow needlepoint flowers and a little Gilli Charm.  I love the dimension that the different stiches on the box add also.

Gilli Box

I seem to be addicted to Shrinky Dinks lately – they are so much fun!  I love to watch them shrink up and become so small.  I colored Tee Gilli with my Copic markers on Shrinky Dink Plastic. Then used my Grand Calibur and Labels 14 dies to cut her out.  About a minute in my toaster oven and I have this cute little Gilli Charm.  A few beads and I have a little embellishment to add another layer to my box.

I can’t wait to see what you come up with for our challenge.  Be sure to enter your project above.  Remember if you use a Gilli in your project, be sure and post it at the House of Gilli Yahoo group and the Gilli Gallery on Flickr.

Hugs, Wini

Gilli was very curious about Froggy and asked her a few questions.  Here is the interview:

Gilli: How long have you been crafting and what are your favorite crafts?

Froggy:  I have been crafting since I was little. I use to do all types of crafts with my mother growing up. My favorite crafts are scrapbooking, card making, plastic canvas, felt and embroidery projects.

Gilli:  What do you like best about Gilli Stamps?

Froggy:  She is adorable and so original…there is nothing else like Gilli available! I also love the deep etched red rubber…I get a perfect image EVERY time!

Gilli:  Tell us a little about yourself.

Froggy:  I am 37, married and a mom to 2 teenage boys. I am a TV show addict and love to watch seasons and seasons of shows! My current favorites are Greys Anatomy, NCIS, Bones, Castle, Criminal Minds, How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory and many more…see I told you I was an addict! I also collect frogs my friends send to me and I love fun socks! Especially fuzzy ones! LOL  I also would like to say how thrilled and honored I am to be chosen as a guest designer! Thank you!

Thank you so much Froggy for your great project and for being our a Gilli Guest Designer!

Would you like to be a Gilli Guest Designer and have your project featured here?  To be considered as a Guest Designer – you just need to enter a Gilli project into our current Gilli Challenge.  It is that simple!  We will choose a guest designer from one of our Challenge entries that used a Gilli in their project.  So ink up your Gilli stamps and show us what you make!

Green Challenge

Hi!  Karen here with my take on the green challenge.  I have chose Tee Gilli by Anary and colored her with prisma colored pencils.  I used the circle Spellbinders to cut her out on the Grand Calibur.  I used a Just Rite stamp set for the sentiment and also used the cricut Designers Calendar and Lacy Labels cartridges.  I used heat embossing with white embossing powder to edge the four leaf clovers with and finished it off with ribbon, a button, some cluny lace trim, and some stitching.  I also used the scor-pal to have the perfect fold on the cardstock.  I hope you come and join in the fun and link your card up for the challenge!!
