Jeans Gilli is on the Move!

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns here to share some more Gilli inspiration with you on this lovely Sunday!  So have you been having fun with this first challenge?   Are you exploring the possibilities with this amazing recipe that Suzanne Dean created for us?  3 patterned papers, at least 2 die cuts or punches and some form of sparkle.

I wanted to use Jeans Gilli for my project today but….  I also wanted to do something a little different.  So instead of creating a card for you today I created a way for Jeans Gilli to travel everywhere with me.  Would you like to see?

GilliCollage

For my “patterned paper” I decided to use different mediums.  To start my project off, I used a multi colored yarn to knit a cell phone bag (pattern #1).  Next I created a Flower Pin, to do this I created my own patterned fabric using the new Anglaise Lace Stamps and dye based ink for the flower petals (pattern #2).  The leaves were created by stamping more images from the Anglaise Lace Stamps onto some of the flowers from the SSD Color Me White Flower Cup that I had dyed green using Glimmer Mist (pattern #3).  To finish off the pin I couldn’t resist adding a SSD Micro Rose into the center.

The flower petals are all Classic Scalloped Circles (die cut #1) that are folded and glued together.  My Gilli image is cut out using Spellbinders Labels 8 (die cut #2).  Finally my sparkle comes from the beads on the cell phone charm that I made to match the bag.

Jeans Gilli was colored to match the bag using my Copic Sketch Markers.  To make Gilli small enough to fit the cell phone charm I put her on some white Shrinky Dink material and then baked her in my oven.  She is so cute all shrunk down and and rocking her beads!  Because I didn’t want the finished product to be too dark and possibly not dry I colored her very lightly and made her quite pale.  She really does stand out in person – I wish you could see her!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed my Gilli Cell Phone Bag!  What will you create with our recipe?  I would love to see your project!  Make sure to enter your creation HERE for your chance to win our amazing prizes!
