Hello! I had so much fun creating today's Gilli card!! I don't sew very much so the challenge of stitching was great for me ~ change of pace (you can do faux stitching if you prefer). Some of my stitching got a bit wacky so I strategically placed some layers over certain areas, hahhahhha. Great reason to have lots of layering for this challenge. ;) I made my card using the adorable Trench Coat Gilli and colored her with Copics, except for the umbrella which I paper pieced. I used the Spellbinders Die Cut with Compatible Clear Stamps, and flowers all available at Stamping Scrapping. I used a bit of Star Dust Stickles on her belt buckle and boot toppers, and Diamond Glaze on her belt, boots and umbrella handle.
I got into the idea of sewing and hand stitched on top of the circle part of the Die Cut Stamp. DP used: Basic Grey Copics used: coat ~ R89,85,83,81 boots ~ YG67,11, G14,12 hair ~ E25,31,50 skin ~ E000,00,R20
I hope you join our Challenge ~ Thanks so much, Ann

Layers and Stitching Challenge!
I chose Florist Gilli and the Gilli Life is Good stamps for my card today. I colored Gilli with prismacolor pencils and used Spellbinders and Doohickey dies for the mattings and swirls. The butterflies were cut with the Indie Arts cartridge. A Martha Stewart border punch was used for the trim and I topped off the many layers with stitching on my sewing machine. Hope you add you card to the link and play along!! : )

Check out Tee Shirt Gilli
Hello Everyone,
I'm Dionne with my latest post for the Lots of Layers and Faux/Real stitching Challenge. Wow, I had so much fun with this challenge. this is the first time I hand stitched on a card, and I love the way it came out. I also machine stitched on the scallop rectangle mat. I stamped and embossed Gilli's shirt and pants with white embossing powder, and then paper pieced them an added stickles to both. Yes I have alot going on ,but it works for me.
Enjoy and Check out my teams work and join in the fun.
