Fairy Gilli 2 ~ Challenge #17

Happy Friday to Everyone!!!  I love all the beautiful fall projects that have been submitted, and can't wait to see  more.  I made a fall card with Fairy Gilli 2 for this challenge, and colored her with Copic markers.  The Gilli stamp is wonderful to color or paper piece. I also find the Gilli images easy to cut out and usually  prefer doing this with my images.  Here's my Fall inspired card:

Welcome to the House of Gilli design team hop! As part of the Gilli’s rubber stamp anniversary celebration….Gilli got a house!!!! Yeah! A cute rubber stamp that you can also make into your own little home!

Now it is my turn to let you into my house!


Come on in! Here the little home I created using the brand new Stamp “Gilli House”. I simply decorated the little house with an Autumn flair. A cozy little home with some cute flowers on the windowsill and a nice reef at the door : ). As you can see I colored the house with copic markers, but the cool thing was to add dimension and texture by using flower soft! I love this stuff! The flower on the windowsill just came to  life!
I am already planning how I can change the décor and fit this little cute according to the seasons!
I think this card would be super cute as a house warming gift! Maybe a simple good fall wish card : ).  I know you can make any way you like it!
For this project I used Gilli House Stamp, Copic markers, My Minds Eyes paper, Ribbon, Kraft paper, Twine and Flower soft.

Welcome to Fall!

Welcome to Fall Everyone!!  This is Wini, from LooneyBugDesigns, with your new Challenge #17 today.  Today’s Challenge is to make a Fall Card.  Choose any aspect of fall that speaks to you and create a project.  I hope you choose to join us – as always you do not need to use a Gilli on your project, but if you do you will get two entries into the chance to win a Great Gilli Goodie Bag!

Today I was inspired by this great quote “What Pensive Beauty Autumn Shows“ by William Wordsworth.  It made me think of all the great fall colors and the feel of the autumn air.  Shopper Gilli seemed a perfect fit for this card.  I loved coloring her in earth tones with just a pop of color.

I used my Copic markers to color her in.  You can see all the details and what colors I used on my Blog.

Parisian Gilli

If you haven't checked out the blog hop for Gilli's Birthday, you should stop by, you can find the hop here. For our current challenge, EMBOSSING, I decided to use Parisian Gilli and she is such a cutie.

 

For my embossing I used Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots, my favorite. I also used Spellbinders Parisian Motifs.

Gilli and snuggled up and embossed

We had such a party last night! That Gilli and Anary sure know how to keep things exciting! If you missed it don't worry- we still have lots of birthday fun going on this week. Don't forget to visit each of the DT member's blogs and leave a comment on their Gilli House post for your chance to win!

After the party I needed to get comfy and finish my card for today. Cozy Gilli was happy to join me as long as I let her sip on her tea while I crafted. Anary sent me a nice package of Authentique paper when I started and I am using some today. I paper pieced Gilli's snuggli and then ran it through my swiss dots embossing folder to give it a fun look. I coloured her up with my copics and added glaze to her ribbon, cup and her eyes. Doesn't she look so relaxed!

Embossed Gilli

I had so much fun coloring the Newest Addition to the Gilli Line!  This adorable “House” stamp is brand new for Gilli’s Birthday! 

I paired Gilli’s new House with ‘Lil Duty Gilli.  These ‘Lil Gilli’s are perfect to pair with the new House stamp!

I love embossing and used my Candy Cane Stripes Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the background of my card.  It is so quick and easy.  I can’t wait to see what you make for our embossing challenge.  Be sure to enter your project in the Inlinkz below for your chance to win a Gilli Goodie!

One of the things that got me into card-making is how we all get together for a cause. No matter what, crafters all over the world pitch in with whatever they can. So I thought it would be a super fun idea to make a virtual drive for OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH) to celebrate Gilli’s birthday month! OWH is a non-profit organization, which gathers handmade cards to be used by members of the armed forces in keeping in touch with their families while deployed! The troops do so much for all of us! Making a little something help make their lives and their families’ lives a little more pleasant is an honor!
Anary Design will coordinate the effort, performing a pre-triage, coordinating the collection of cards, inspecting, sorting, record keeping and forwarding to OWH.
What’s in it for you? In addition to the pleasure of helping out the troops, you can also be the winner of a great gift; a Gilli Basket full of goodies!!

Gift Cardholder

Hey ladies,
I know you will be needing some gift cardholders so here is one made with Graduation Gilli but I took her cap off and diploma out of her hand. Now she can be used for any occasion. I dry embossed the front oval and wet embossed the sentiment inside. For directions on how to make go to my blog

Spooky Em"boo”sing

How are you all doing?! Oh I am so happy I am pulling out my Halloween decorations! The embossing challenge Vivi came up with gave me the right opportunity to get my cute little Cuttlebug Halloween Embossing Folders out and get in gear! Muahahha. So how do you like the transformation! Isn’t Gilli Balloon looking good on her good witch costume? lol. I colored Gilli with copic markers and added a few touches using copic multiliners and also white pen. Of course I had to sprinkle some sparkle with stickles.

Papers are bazzil and Authentique. The cool spider web frame was made using Martha Stewart punch. Oh I almost forgot…I distressed the edges of the papers with distress inks and added a little stickles to it.

This challenge brings me memories..I was very intrigued by embossing folders when I first started cardmaking! lol. More details about this project over my blog : ).

Girly 2 ~ Embossing Challenge

Welcome to Challenge #16!  Create a card or project with embossing, and you can enter it to win a prize!  If you enter a card using Gilli, you get two chances to win a Gilli goodie.  My Gilli is Girly 2 from the Summer '11 Collection. 

 I colored Gilli with Copic markers, embossed the word surprise with a Versamark pen, and also used the Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Embossing Challenge

Hello Gilli Girls,

It is time for a new challenge at House of Gilli and it is my turn to host a challenge!!!
First of all, I want to chance everyone that could participate!  Great creations!!!

My proposal is to make a card using embossing technique.. you can do dry emboss and use your heat gun to emboss.. I don`t mind, as long as is embossed, ok!?

Here is my card:

This time I picked Rockability Gilli from Gilli Stamps, my first time playing with it!

I colored my Gilli with copic markers B16, B14, B12, RV04, RV02, RV00, C9, C7, C5, C3, E11, E00 & R20.

I placed my Gilli in a white paper cut with  a classic oval nestie and then place it in a blue cardstock cut with beaded oval nestie, both cut in the Grand Calibur. 

For the embossing I used sizzix templates on my Grand Calibur.. love this flower template.

and embellish my card with a flower rossette made with Martha Stewart punch .

Rhinestone flower in the center of the rosette is from kaisercraft.

Twisted Easel Card - Florist GILLI !

I colored the Florist GILLI Stamp with Copic Markers

and made a rosette using my Martha Stewart Scoring Board.

An Easel card with Lady Gilli

Hello from Canada! Andi here with another Gilli easel card to help inspire you with our current challenge.

I used Lady Gilli on my card and I have to admit I loved colouring her. She is so much fun with her elegant dress but most importantly with her long gloves and tiara. I want one too! I added folds in her dress using R89 as my darkest colour for the fold and then used R85, R83 and R81 to help give it a shiny multi-tone look.

I have a funny confession to make- I am not all that skilled at easel cards hee hee. I made this one but no matter how hard I tried it wouldn't stay tucked behind my flower stopper on the bottom panel. It kept just folding flat. So I grabbed my bottle of glue and just glued it in place hee hee! Now to figure out how to mail it like that ;). So if the easel challenge has been too intimidating to try yet just think of me and my tricky gluing and that should give you some more encouragement to play along. If I can do it so can you lol!!!!

I am off to teach a copic class today. Gives me another excuse to play with my new Gilli stamps lol! Yep let's all get our Gilli on today!

Party On Gilli!!

Hello Everyone!!  So glad you were able to stop in today!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns with my interpretation of an Easel Card with flowers for you today.  This is my first attempt at an easel card – so if I can do it so can you!!  Please make sure to enter your creation in the Inlinkz below for a chance to win a Gilli Goodie!!  You do not have to use a Gilli stamp to participate but if you do, you will get an extra entry into the prize drawing!!!

Did you know that Gilli is turning 1 this month?? Well she is!!  What does that mean?  Well it means a PARTY – of course!!  Stay tuned for more details.  So in honor of her birthday I made her a birthday card.  I used Balloon Gilli for this card – isn’t she beautiful?  I also used some free digi stamps for the September Calendar and Sentiment.

Hello Friends,

I`m a bit late in bringing my card for the easel card with flowers challenge.  So sorry about that!!

Here it is my card:

For today I picked Waitress Gilli from the Gilli 1st collection and colored her using copic markers #s: BV04, BV02, BV00, V01, V000, V0000, C9, C7, C5, C3. E1, E00 & R20.

Sentiment Love is also from Gilli Stamps and I added star dust stickles on the sentiment and all around the rectangule!

Background Papers and flowers are from Prima Flowers.

Crystal Brads are from Stamping Scrapping.

Magical wishes!

Hello everyone! My turn to spread magical wishes upon all the crafters! lol I wish I could! For now we try to bring inspiration : )

My project today uses Gilli Fairy 2. I cannot get enough of this little cutie…and I bet you can use her in any card you wish! Jut like magic! : )

Gilli was colored with copic markers. Gilli Fairy 2 is seating on a stream of butterflies (Martha Stewart punch)..the butterflies and the papers were all distressed using Distress Inks. Touches of Stickles were added to the edges of all the paper pieces. Flowers from prima. Generic Skittles and tiny pearls are made of Liquid Pearls. Lace edges were created using Martha Stewart punch. The tag for sentiments was distressed using copic marker and a touch of stickles. This piece was punched using an EK punch.
