Hello Friends,

it is my turn, Vivi,  to show you a card for the sketch challenge over here at House of Gilli..  this is my fave challenge ever!  so here it is:

For this card I used the Nurse Gilli, first time playing with her, that is sold at Stamping Scrapping.
I colored my Nurse Gilli with copic markers: RV23, RV21, RV00, E11, E00, R20, E35, E34, E31 & E53.

To complete the sketch I cut a round piece of paper with anglaise lace circle nestabilities using my Grand Calibur and use a doily for the other circle.  Rhinestones are from KC.

I hope you liked my card, get inspired and come on over to play with you!

Thanks for stopping by today!

My First Gilli post- yippee!!!

Hi! I am so excited to be sharing my first Gilli creation here with you as a new DT member. My name is Andrea but I frequently also go by Andi. Feel free to call me which ever name you like! I live in Ontario Canada and love to share Canadian trivia while also learning more about the other many beautiful places around the world. I do use the word 'eh' a lot- I didn't know it until I went to Ireland and they teased me for it hee hee. I have been married for 16 years to my true love Jason and together we have two girls who seriously make us laugh all day long. They support me in my hobby as it keeps me busy and keeps the tv free for them to choose all the shows hee hee! I love to joke around so please don't ever take me seriously. ;)

A quick story. I met Anary in Chicago with my friend Suzanne Dean and Anary had the cutest shirt on featuring a Gilli image. I fell in love not only with the Gilli stamps and their fun, whimsical style but also with sweet Anary herself. Honestly- what a wonderful lady! That meeting lead to me joining the DT and getting an awesome Gilli package in the mail which included not only some stamps but also more Gilli images stamped on Cryogen paper. At least I think that is how it is spelled lol!

I had honestly never used this kind of paper before but right after getting my package I had a copic class with my friend Suzanne also on our DT (highly recommend taking it if she is ever in your area) and she introduced me to it as well as a whole new way of colouring with my copics. Which actually is how I coloured the Fairy 2 Gilli image I am sharing  today. I used my new techniques and even though it felt like I was learning to write my name using my opposite hand I am quite pleased with how she turned out. I added stickles to her wings and followed the current sketch to build my card. I did change the sketch up a bit as I moved the embellishments on the sketch from the bottom to her holding a flower. There is actually a very good reason why I did this. To find out why she is holding a flower hop over to my blog and have a giggle.

I hope you like my first Gilli creation and I am looking forward to sharing more with you. Please feel free to join us using this sketch and make sure to link it up so we can see it too!

Cheers..Andi

Burlesque Gilli

Hello Friends,

It is my turn, Vivi, to show you a card for the polka dots challenge over here at House of Gilli,  but before that I want to share with you why I picked this stamp today!!

I`m a huge fan of Cher, the singer, and last week I watched on Sky Tv a movie called Burlesque..
1st time seeing this movie and I love it... so I remember of Burlesque Gilli and for the polka dots challenge I thought this stamp would just be perfect...  I have never played with her before.. just didnt know how do make a card with, but there is no secret...... she is gorgeous as the others ones.. and very easy to play with...  so now let me show it to you:

Girls, it was so easy to color her. I used my copic markers #s: Yr07, YR04, YR02, E37, E35, E33, E31, E53 G24, G21, G20, BG18, BG13, E11, E00 & R20.
Burluesque Gilli, from Gilli Stamps, is sold at Stamping Scrapping, so go over there to get yours!

Polka dots cardstocks are from my stash and so it is the ribbon!!
The oval ones I cut with oval beaded and classic oval nesties using my Grand Calibur!
Flowers are form Stamping Scrapping  and half adhesive pearls from KC.
oh, I used diamond stickles from Tim Holtz on the clothes..  pitty that it can`t be seen.

So tell me, what do you think of it?? Did you like my card???

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Introducing Parisian Gilli!

Hi Everyone!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns with your Polka Dot inspiration today.  I was SO happy when I opened my mail the other day and Anary had sent me a couple stamped images of the New Gilli’s and Oh My – They are so pretty!!  I thought Parisian Gilli would be perfect in Polka Dots!

Parisian Gilli

I used the new Parisian Gilli and colored her with my Copic markers.  The black frame and purple border are both from the Snowflake image on the  Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge.  The Flower was made from the Sunflower1 and Sunflower4 images from the Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge!  So fun and easy to make!  The green is actually some ribbon from my stash.

Parisian Close

I just love the way Gilli’s Polka Dot shirt ended up.  She is just so flirty and fun.

You can find more details on my blog.  Don’t forget to enter your Polka Dot project in the Inlinkz below.

Dot dot… Polka dots!

Gilli Ballon_HappyBday

Hello ladies and Gent! Here I come with all the dots that I could get my hands on! LOL. Don’t you just love the Polka Dot Challenge that Yone is hosting? I do, I do!

Who doesn’t love a polka dot? Well, Gilli is just like us all and here she comes! Gilli Balloon, a brand new Gilli from the Summer collection 2011!!! Isn’t she fun!? For sure she can bring on the goods to make a celebration even more special!

Gilli Ballon_HappyBday_art Gilli Balloon was colored with copic markers. Now check out her charming polka dots blouse, so vintage chic? Right? lol. Hum, have you noticed the earrings? ; )

I colored the balloons using copics and added  Glossy Accents to give a little dimension…same trick was used on her pretty shoes.

Cardstock is from my stash and pattern paper by Lilli Bee. I made the little banners by hand and embossed using Quickcutz and Cuttlebug folders. Looppy pieces were created using Martha Stewart punch. All nicely embellished with some stickles. Sentiment done by hand on a punched piece (SU punch).

We are just getting the party started…why don’t you join us on this Polka Dot Challenge…We would love to drop by your place!

More details on this project over my blog : ). I will see you all soon! Don’t forget to check out all the NEW GILLI for summer 2011!

Shh..someone told me there is a birthday celebration coming soon…so stick around!
